Sharks Skipper Peyton Fuller Named South Division Manager for 2026 NECBL All-Star Game
Fuller, who guided Martha's Vineyard to the top of the South Division at 25–7, earns the honor in just his second summer at the helm.
Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts - Martha's Vineyard Sharks head coach Peyton Fuller has been named manager of the South Division squad for the 2026 NECBL All-Star Game, the league announced. The honor goes to the skipper of the division's top team — and with the Sharks sitting first in the South at 25–7, the choice was clear.
The nod caps a remarkable rise for Fuller in the NECBL. He arrived on the island just last summer and made an immediate mark, helping lead the Sharks to the 2025 NECBL championship in his first season. This year's club has picked up right where that one left off, playing the best baseball in the South Division from the season's opening weeks.
"It's an incredible honor to be named NECBL south manager, but this recognition is earned through the work our team has put in all season. Excited for the opportunity and focused on what's still ahead," Fuller said.
Before coming to the Vineyard, Fuller played his collegiate ball at Troy University and returned to the program shortly after his playing career ended, joining the staff as an assistant in 2017. During his time at Troy, he helped develop multiple professional players and award winners, including 2018 Sun Belt Player of the Year and All-American Joey Denison.
Fuller will be joined in the opposite dugout by Sanford Mainers manager Nic Lops, who will lead the North Division squad at Goodall Park.
For the Sharks, the announcement is one more sign of a special summer taking shape in Oak Bluffs — a first-place club, a defending league champion, and now an All-Star Game skipper wearing purple.
